A Kirru is a hand made linen cloth adorned with blue cotton cross-stiching. They were often seen covering articistically carved wooden "Hope" chests or storage trunks (kutxa) found in farmhouses. This one is a long rectangular piece with a blue border going around the edge of it. It has two smaller blue lines framing a larger blue one with a white design in a diamond shape. In the middle there is a rectangle of blue with a repeating diamond patten. On the edge of the design are tree like images pointing outward.
