Object Name Cover, Lamp
Date Unknown
Description Wire lightbulb cover (cage) used at the Jayo Boardinghouse. The cover is composed of two halves. Each side has three long, thick pieces of wire looped in half and attached to a band of metal bent into a semi-circle at the bottom. Together the two semi-circles connect and form a complete circle. Another piece of wire is attached to the looped wire near the top, perpendicular to the other pieces. One half of the cover has loop ends and the other has hook ends. The two halves attach at those points.
A screw attaches the two halves at the bottom. The semi-circular bands have a tab with a hole through it and a rusted nail goes through those holes. The other end of the bands have a slot and a bent tab, one fits into the other to complete the circle.

An 'R,' 'I,' and two 'W's are inscribed in the metal, although their meaning is unknown.
